Then I went paleo, and huge improvements in my health (I had other problems, too) were visible in the course of weeks. My autoimmune conditions are now under control, and my overall immunity is much stronger, also as regards my respiratory system. In the (almost) two years on paleo, I've only been sick once - my whole family succumbed to the virus, and I was actually the last family member to yield. It was not nearly as debilitating as my previous respiration-related diseases, and I was OK after one week (without antibiotics, which were almost a staple for me prior to paleo). So maybe it's the way to go for you as well - change how you eat, not where you live. Mark's Daily Apple is a good place to start research.Jananoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4503788206216321596.post-6222275076221327872012-05-28T08:42:07.521-07:002012-05-28T08:42:07.521-07:00Mr. Anonymous British Man, I seem to have unintent...Mr. Anonymous British Man, I seem to have unintentionally struck a nerve. I agree with you that my experiences are not an accurate depiction of all British men, and that theses circumstances are not limited to British men only (or even just men - points that were also addressed in the original writing) but as far as being truth, there we differ - what I wrote is an accurate depiction of my experiences at the time of writing, and so yes, it is true. I live here because I love it here, I think most people are just uncomfortable with giving the simplest (but truest) reason for something, especially since Czech people often gawk at me saying I like their country, but they get it if there's a girl involved.
Perhaps this is a case of the exception proving the rule, but I don't think what you've written here is entirely true, just saying. In some ways, Praha is like an enormous train station. Part of the void, however, comes from at first wanting to be 'friends' with anyone who can speak English :) Fortunately, that subsides and one returns to being a bit more discriminating.JASON MASHAKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10894966416167058786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4503788206216321596.post-75463201549463286092010-11-18T22:07:27.961-08:002010-11-18T22:07:27.961-08:00Hi Jen, so where exactly are you going, which part...Hi Jen, so where exactly are you going, which part of Praha?

PerthAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4503788206216321596.post-73463194845004400042010-10-25T06:16:02.088-07:002010-10-25T06:16:02.088-07:00Thank you Jana! My latest strategy: http://www.sterimar.cz/cs/ - a doctor suggested that I have it on me during flights, and I started using it on a daily basis to keep my nasal mucosa humid. As far as I know, when it is dry, it is more vulnerable to viruses. I will soon buy an inhaler (one of these, probably the cheapest Omron: http://www.docsimon.cz/kat/inhalatory-nebulizery). I've been prescribed 10 sessions and go to a physician every day, for about 20 minutes. I inhale Vincentka plus some drops I don't remember exactly. The treatment is meant to address a lump in my throat (which is supposedly due to dessicated mucosa - that must be why I've already had tonsillitis twice this year) but I've noticed that it also improves my breathing dramatically. I've read something about it and found out that it is a good complementary therapy for asthma patients. Normally, I would already be be sick in this unfriendly October weather - I trust the inhalation keeps me healthy. Vincentka is good for drinking, too - unless you have a high blood pressure. It contains a lot of sodium. I often buy Vincentka pastilles, especially when I know that I will be surrounded by people some of whom might have a cold. Another product that seems to be working for me is this: http://www.vitalsupport.sk/ImuSeZin.html . I have also ordered Echinacina, a purely natural product by the Swiss company Just (http://www.just.cz/produkty/vitaminy_mineraly_b/k4207/ - not available in pharmacies; they only send through their own network of dealers - contacts on the website). I've heard much praise about it; it should really jump-start your immune system. People also approvingly comment on their thyme ointment (used for your chest when you have a cold) and eucalyptus spray (beneficial for your bronchus) but I won't be getting those since they contain substances I am allergic to. I hope some of these helps. Oh yes, unless you really dislike them, make sure to eat a lot of garlic and drink a lot of ginger tea. Besides, sauerkraut is a great source of vitamines for the winter. Or the Korean equivalent kim-chi - I loved it in a restaurant and will try to make it on my own.Jananoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4503788206216321596.post-88047113524554249842010-10-19T09:21:07.579-07:002010-10-19T09:21:07.579-07:00Good luck on the repairs.
