Happy Birthday Mom. I love you... a whole lot more than I can express. You're far beyond awesome and we're pretty darn lucky to be your family. Hope you had a great day.

understanding the weather patterns
the ease of throwing my bag in a car and not having to carry my life on my back
knowing my way around - I've gotten lost on foot too many nights this week, and it's COLD
the ease of finding and picking up a newspaper or magazine
my friends
avocados
clothing sizing that has some sort of continuity and isn't a mixture of Euro, UK, and US - but without distinguishing between the various numbers!
labels I can understand
a familiar grocery store - one where I know where the spice is that I only need to buy once every three years
